Personally, I find that Assassins pose the greatest threat AGAINST me in PvP. Because I'm normally in the back spirit-spamming, when an Assassin bypasses everyone and starts beating on me I sometimes get a little worried. With the long-ish cooldown of Death's Charge, Spirit Walk is a great alternative for many Assassins to get into range so they can start slicing me. That, and with Ritualists now becoming more common on both sides of the battle, Spirit Walk provides an excellent way to move about the battlefield (in AND out of combat).
In terms of the combination, it might work, but in terms of all-out fun I think A/Rt would be more fun...with Dagger Mastery, you'll be able to fuel the spirits much better. As a damage dealer, you'll probably only be using spirits like Pain and Bloodsong for damage, and will do more damage using your hand-to-hand skills.
I can reasonably see you using Spirit Walk, however, as a means of getting in and out of combat quickly. Using Bloodsong at the very start of a fight will provide ranged damage near the casters, and the casting time will save you from initial damage waves better left to Warriors (as a healer, I can't tell you the frustrations I've had with some Assassins who charge in before the Warriors). Death Charge in, and drop a Pain down and go through a combination of attacks as fast as possible, then Spirit Walk to your Bloodsong spirit. 8 seconds later, Spirit Walk back to your Pain. Unless Pain is directly targetted, it won't have died just yet, and you should be able to get back into combat.
It could work, actually. The best way to do this would use Palm Strike, as you don't need to lead off with a Lead Attack. That way, all you need to have is a two-hit combo rather than three, it'll save skill slots. Just throwing skills out there:
Pain
Bloodsong
Spirit Walk
Death's Charge
Palm Strike
Horns of the Ox
Falling Spider (or maybe something healing-based like Shadow Refuge)
Rez Signet (or Flesh of My Flesh)
Attribute Points will be going into Dagger Mastery, Communing, and Shadow Arts. Keep in mind I have NO clue if this will actually work, but it might be worth a shot.
It could work, actually. Now I'm intrigued, haha! Let me know if you try it, and if it works!
